ZEISS Visionaries is a series of films about artists, technologists, and thinkers who see the world from a unique perspective, and have made a life’s work out of sharing that vision with the people around them.
One of these people was Chi Po-Lin from Taiwan, one of the world's best aerial photographers and directors. Famous for his documentary film 'Beyond Beauty - Taiwan from Above', Chi used his photography for a greater good - the preservation and protection of Taiwan’s staggering natural beauty.
Before this film was completed, Chi Po-Lin lost his life in an aerial cinematography mission while shooting his next film in Taiwan. It was a great honor to meet and work with Chi Po Lin, and share in his unique perspective on our world today. I am proud to call him a friend.
