i covered the la fires extensively in january of 2025, working alongside cal-fire and la county fire across la. New York Times Magazine got in touch to commission an interactive aerial video piece on the Altadena fires, exploring a format they had not previously used. Using drone footage, captured in a continuous single take, we created a 3d model that formed the basis for the interactive experience. NYT MAG also commissioned us for the cover shot of that month’s issue.
